Things I love: Simply Janelle Designs
I told you guys that I was going to celebrate my 10th anniversary ALL year-long and now that we have the big logo “reveal” out of the way, it’s time to start introducing you to some of my favorite people and things and that means a giveaway for you!
The first person that I want to introduce you to is my friend Janelle at Simply Janelle Designs.
Janelle creates beautiful items from repurposed pieces of furniture, wood, crates – anything really. Her first business, Sodderbug, was making jewelry – soldered photo charms to be exact. (She named the company “Sodderbug” because of the way Southerners pronounced the word “solder”!) She also used washers to create charms for necklaces and punched tin for key chains and charms. She’s moved away from focusing on jewelry and now her true passion is in wood creations.
She finds barn wood from around the area and turns it into signs like this one:
And when she finds a LOT of barn wood, she can create incredible pieces of furniture like this Cademon table:
Since it’s February and Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I thought this set of signs were a perfect thing to give away to one lucky person! They measure 12 inches square each and are painted with Annie Sloan chalk paint and wax. You can even have them painted with red and pink but I agree with Janelle and if they were mine, I’d leave them this soft neutral color so you can leave them out all year and keep the X’s and O’s flowing!!
Not only will you get the signs, but I’m giving a copy of our book, The Mother of All Meltdowns for
You have many chances to earn points and only one that’s “required”, so get entered, good luck and thank you for many years of stories and laughs!
