It’s Not What You Say, It’s How You Say It – (Almost) Wordless Wednesday

I had the great pleasure of hearing Dena Harris speak yesterday. Dena is a professional writer and writing coach here in our area. She’s funny and I think if she got to know me, we’d be fast friends. I mean cripes.. she has no kids – so her house is clean and could be my dream escape house and her CAT is on Twitter!

Oh sorry.. that was a squirrel moment and I’m suddenly getting VERY far away from “wordless”.

Dena had many great tips to offer our group but what she started off with was telling us about this video on changing how you say something can make a big impact.

Watch it and then tell me how you can change your words to make an impact.

Wishing I could have heard Dena. Maybe another time.. take the good advice! !

    • Hate that you missed it, too Ellen! She had a lot of great tips. I was most excited when she said that you SHOULD write the way you talk… I’ve had so many people tell me NOT to do that and I find my best stuff comes from when I actually do.

  2. Kristin,

What a powerful video. Thank you for sharing. I loved every second of it and loved the message she wrote at the end. Yes we may be saying the same thing but the choice of words influences the response we will receive. Great example here.
