Holiday Bake Off Recipe Contest

There are so many great things about the holidays. Decorating the house – tree goes up Thanksgiving weekend – I refuse to spend that much time decorating for it to only be up 2 weeks. The excitement of the kids as they make their wish lists.. it took me years to convince them that it IS a wish list, not an order form. And then there’s the food. I love food any time of the year but there is something about the food during Christmas that strikes a chord of nostalgia. There are things that MUST be made or it’s just not Christmas and most of those are my Grandmother’s recipes… Haystacks (those butterscotch and wonton noodle things), sausage balls, fudge, Christmas casserole on Christmas morning and so on.
