Why Gingers Love Fall

Because it’s our season! Blondes have summer and brunettes are to die for in the winter. But no other season suits a redhead better than the fall.

The colors match us.. browns, reds, oranges, golds. The air is crisp like our tongues and cool like our demeanor.

I love when the weather finally gives me the chance to put on jeans, boots and a sweater. I know that it’s not quite cold enough to do it, but who cares? I have sassier and spunkier cool weather clothes than I do warm weather. No one sees my paler than pale skin that is characteristic of all gingers.

We went from windows open to windows closed and the upstairs heat kicked on to take the chill off the air.

Added bonus of the first cool evening?

The first fire of the season. And everyone knows that fire is another fine attribute of gingers!

About Kristen Daukas

Kristen Daukas and her husband are the parents of three teen and tween daughters. She faces the same challenges as every parent - how to stay sane while raising teens in an era of technology, mean girls, college prep and PMS. Her main goal is to get them out the door as functioning adults who remember their childhood as a happy if not crazy time. During the day, she is a partner at Atlantic Social Media Group - a Social Media Marketing Agency and is always looking for the next fun, tech toy to play with.

The best part of fall for me is watching the leaves changing colour…fiery reds, warm oranges. I love how the world seems all the more beautiful for their destruction.
