You’re Breaking My Heart

AKA Middle School Open House night for H#2.

A bit of a Wordless Wednesday.. tonight was open house so that the newbie parent’s and upcoming 6th graders could visit the school. Since this is our 2nd time at the rodeo, I didn’t pay as much attention to the activities as I did to the fact that holy crap – I’m going to have TWO girls in middle school next year. Which was followed immediately by HOLY HELL this time next year, I’ll be going to open house for H#1 to go to high school.

This glass of wine is mighty tasty.

Back to Wordless Wednesday….

Here’s 2 photos of H#2… one when she graduated from Pre-K and one taken tonight. Can’t believe we’ve gone from Dora the Explorer to “which activities club should I join” (robotics, she thinks).

My sweet, sweet girl.

Hug them tight, Moms of little ones.. before you know it, you’ll be in my shoes.

thanks for this post, ms. kristen. we’re taking our very first rising middle schooler to his open house tonight, and just reading about your family’s second trip to “the rodeo” (as it were) made me feel a little less lonesome as we get ready to walk through those doors.

i am grateful for your company — even if it is through cyberspace : )

  2. Awe, what a sweet girl! I need to remember how quickly it all changes. Thanks for the reminder!
